Blocked Email

Note: To preclude "spiders" form harvesting e-mail addresses from this page, please manually substitute the "at" sign with no surrounding spaces wherever you see "at" below.

That annoying advertising E-mail, commonly known as "spam" has become a big problem for all of us. It has reached such proportions that most E-mail services and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have put at least one stringent blocking or filtering system in place, which all of our E-mail must go through.

The problem is these blocking systems often stop E-mail which you want to receive and read. In fact, you might find you are not receiving any of our E-mail based services such as the ENOTAM List, "Email Me My Password" results, etc.

Here are things you can do to insure that you will receive this important information coming.

A tip for everyone using any type of E-mail software...

Add our ENOTAM List address to your Contact List:

Step 1 - Open the program in which you use to read your E-mail.

Step 2 - Add "Elbowstreet ENOTAM List" and its corresponding address enotam "at" elbowstreet.com to your E-mail address book to give you a better chance at receiving it.

How to Further Guarantee ENOTAM Arrivals

These instructions are relevant to users of AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, or other E-mail programs such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, and Netscape Mail.

AOL

If you are using AOL, you can ensure the delivery of ENOTAM E-mails by setting your "Mail Controls."

Step 1 - Go to option "Mail Controls."

Step 2 - Select the screen name we send your newsletters.

Step 3 - Click "Customize Mail Controls for this Screen Name."

Then you will need to check the version of your AOL software...

For AOL version 9.0

Step 4 - Open your latest elbowstreet E-mail.

Step 5 - Click the Add Address button (over on the right) to add the enotam "at" elbowstreet.com to your "People I Know" list.

For AOL version 8.0

Step 4 - Select "Allow E-mail from all AOL members, E-mail addresses and domains."

Step 5 - Click "Next" until the "Save" button shows up at the bottom and then click "Save."

For AOL version 7.0

Step 4 - In the section for "Exclusion and Inclusion Parameters,"

Step 5 - Add and save these domains: "@airbase1.com" and "@elbowstreet.com"

YAHOO

To ensure Skywagon E-mail delivery in your "Yahoo Inbox" and not the "Bulk Mail" folder, you can instruct Yahoo to filter it to your Inbox.

Step 1 - Open your Yahoo mailbox.

Step 2 - Click "Mail Options."

Step 3 - Click "Filters."

Step 4 - Next, click "Add Filter."

Step 5 - In the top row, labeled "From header," make sure "contains" is selected in the pull-down menu.

Step 6 - Click in the text box next to the pull-down menu, then enter the address in the "From" line of your most recent Skywagon List E-mail: enotam "at" elbowstreet.com.

Step 7 - At the bottom, where it says, "Move the message to," select Inbox from the pull-down menu.

Step 8 - Click the "Add Filter" button again.

HOTMAIL

If you are using Hotmail, you can ensure that Skywagon E-mails are delivered to your Inbox by adding our "From" address to your "Safe List".

Step 1 - Click the "Options" tab.

Step 2 - Select "Safe List." It is under the heading "Mail Handling."

Step 3 - In the space provided, enter the address in the "From" line of your most recent recent Skywagon List E-mail: enotam "at" elbowstreet.com.

Step 4 - Click "Add."

Step 5 - Then you will see the address you entered in the "Safe List" box, click "OK."

OTHER PROGRAMS

Many popular e-mail programs, including Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, and Netscape Mail, do not provide a convenient way for you to mark easily whom you want to receive e-mail from.

If you are using this sort of E-mail system and you are not receiving Skywagon E-mails, you can do something about it.

Step 1 - Contact the customer service people or the Postmaster at the company that provides your e-mail or Internet connection (your ISP).

Step 2 - Explain to them that all E-mails from enotam "at" elbowstreet.com and @elbowstreet.com are e-mails that you asked for and want to receive.

Step 3 - Ask them if they can white-list the newsletters that you get from @airbase1.com or @elbowstreet.com. They will probably ask you for some information about us.

Here is what to tell them:
